Dianah Mukundwa is an experienced financial sector leader and current MC/MPA Mason Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School. She brings more than 13 years of expertise in banking, insurance, investments, and strategy. Most recently, she served as Chief Executive Officer of Sonarwa Life Assurance Company Limited (2023–2025), following her role as Head of Strategy, Business Analysis, and Social Impact Investments at Equity Bank Rwanda Plc (2019–2023). In these leadership positions, she championed financial inclusion, sustainable investments, and community-driven initiatives.
Dianah holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University (UK) and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Rwanda. She is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (ICPAR).
Beyond her executive career, she serves as an Independent Board Director for corporate institutions and NGOs, while actively volunteering to empower communities, mainly families, women, and youth. A wife and mother, Dianah enjoys painting, reading, and volleyball—pursuits that reflect her creativity, teamwork, and balance.
